If you have been following along for some time, you know that we have been busy working the last few months on a fun remodel project. My clients are less than a month away from their due date. They are having a baby girl in early June, and we have been busy trying to complete their house in time for her arrival. I thought it would be fun to show the progress as all of the cabinetry has gone in at this point, and we are really moving through our to do list over there! Here are a few rooms to get you excited as well!

I always like to put together an overall inspiration board when working on a home, as it keeps me on track design wise and keeps the flow moving from space to space. This home was an interesting one as it had lots of nice modern details but the previous owners added some traditional elements that I didn’t feel worked with the space. In our construction process, we have removed nearly all of those traditional elements including crown moldings, traditional wood bannisters, and marble floors. We are including design elements that fit better with the house and including a few eclectic touches for some extra flair.

Kitchen

This awesome kitchen will have a nice monochromatic backdrop to properly feature the fun design elements we are including such as a forest green island and fun backsplash detail to coordinate, state of the art appliances, and modern bronze hardware. We were limited with space, but really maximized it to give this awesome couple a great place to enjoy each and every day.

Den

We are carrying the forest green color through the black industrial doors to this den space to tie in with the kitchen and create a cozy place for many functions. We are working on the furniture pieces and other elements for this room, but I am excited about the direction it is going so far.

Powder Bathroom

This tiny powder bathroom is just off the kitchen and den. We wanted to make it a bit unexpected while still tying in with the adjacent rooms. We all unanimously loved this fun jungle wallpaper and felt it did just that! A new sink and cabinet, light fixture, and flooring, and you will hardly recognize it as the same space when it’s done.

Master Bathroom

Once again these clients challenged me to use color in an unexpected way. We found this awesome teal tile and knew it would be a fun backdrop for their new and improved master bathroom. We are using matte black fixtures and a gorgeous walnut wood cabinet to finish off this room, once again using the space to the fullest.

Thanks for taking this tour with me through this exciting construction project I have in the works. I hope you are just as excited as me to see the finished product soon … Stay tuned!
