On Wednesday, we showed you guys the boy’s bunk room that Lauren designed, and today we are excited to share the coordinating girl’s room. Lauren and her clients decided it would be fun for these two rooms to go together as they were almost secluded in their own part of the house, and they thought this would make this area extra special. We went with a dusty blue color scheme with lots of cream, tan, and white mixed in for both rooms and an old world feeling to give the rooms character. This girl’s bunk room goes so well with the boy version but with a more feminine vibe.

The first thing we did was to select this upholstered bunk bed from Restoration Hardware. It gives some nice sleeping space but also leaves plenty of room on the floor for air mattresses or the girls to play and does not look bulky in the room.

We decided to go with a faux finish on the walls (also done by Angel) in the dusty blue color way to give the room some much needed drama and a bit of texture. We hung a crystal chandelier from Restoration Hardware Baby and Child as well for some desired elegance.

Lauren picked out this rouched bedding from Pottery Barn to give a softness to the room. She loves how it adds another feminine detail.

This chair with ottoman and tall lamp were the only pieces in this space before they started and really helped to set the tone for the design. In the end, the toile print adds a fun element to the room. We used the same linen fabric for the window coverings as we did in the boy’s room and love how consistent it keeps things. The balloon shade style gives this particular room a more feminine touch.

We love how this room came together, but love even more how the two rooms look side by side. It was such a fun project to work on, and we can’t wait for the next challenge this client throws our way. Lauren is currently finishing up the kitchen in this particular home and is excited to share the many fun design details they have added in there as well.
