Next week is Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, a holiday that has always been very significant to us as it is a time for a fresh new start. Not to mention time spent with family. As of now, this is not a holiday we host in our own homes, however we are always looking for new ways to entertain guests in a unique way. For now, this inspiration post will feed our need to create a holiday gathering that is fresh and new for the New Year.

One of our favorite Rosh Hashanah traditions is eating apples dipped in honey. This is meant to give a sweet start to your year. To set the tone for this party, we used the honeycomb pattern as our inspiration. Golden hues and lots of sweet treats were incorporated too.

We always start our inspiration with the home we are designing for. This cozy kitchen provided us with our color palette and casual design scheme.

Although their home is casual, this couple likes to step it up a bit when celebrating the holidays. We are obsessed with the subtle ways this photo incorporates the shape of the honeycomb and the over-the-top way it has incorporated fresh flowers.

“L’shana Tova” is the way you wish your friends and family a “Happy New Year”! These crafty cards can be sent out to friends and family wishing them all of the best in the coming year.

What to wear to this type of affair? Only your holiday best!

A ruby red and rosemary honey cocktail is the perfect way to cheers to the year ahead.

Start off with some small bites … We love us a fabulous cheese board! Especially this mix of savory and sweet!

Do dessert right and you are sure to have all that you wish for this year.

What about a little sweet treat to send home with your guests?

As always, we had way too much fun preparing this adorable holiday inspiration board for all of you and truly can’t wait for next week’s festivities. We hope that you have liked it as well, and that you have been able to get inspired by some of our ideas. Happy New Year from Side by Side Design!
