For anyone who has been following along with us for a while now, you have certainly heard us talk about our Modern With Antiques Home that we have been working on with our amazing clients for over two years. Yes, you heard that right! It’s been a loooong time! Somewhat due to obstacles that have been out of our control and in part because these particular clients sees the value in making sure that every detail is completed with utmost care, attention to detail, and is thought through to the best of our ability. For me, I appreciate the level of detail I am able to put in when a client is this thorough, and it just makes it that much more exciting for me when I get to see any kind of progress taking place. I thought it would be fun to give you some updates today as things are really starting to come together in their completed form, and we even have an end in sight. The client gave notice for their temporary apartment this week and plan to start moving in next month! It’s going to be a busy month to make this happen, but we have been preparing for this and are beyond excited!

The overall design for this powder bathroom has stayed the same since the very beginning (as seen in our previous post, Under Construction: Modern With Antiques Powder Bathroom). Which makes it that much more exciting to see it almost complete! The toilet and sconces go in this week, and then we will just have finishing touches to make. It is a simple design with very intricate details, but every last seam in this amazing marble was thought through and planned to perfection!

We are still in awe over the transformation of this kitchen (before photos seen in our previous post, Under Construction: Modern With Antiques Kitchen)! When we decided to remove the ceiling to give ourselves just a bit more space, we never imagined what we would discover. We were able to change the plan, and we got amazing space out of it. You now no longer feel like you are walking into a closed kitchen. It feels open and inviting just like we had wished.

In addition, the appliances in this space are on another level! We went back and forth on this stainless and gold La Cornue stove (although I was rooting for it all along) and the silver leaf cabinetry compliments it perfectly!

I have mentioned it before, but this fireplace is virtually the only design element in this house we left alone. It was just too perfect, but the crisp, white walls really do give it new life and an overall modern yet elegant feel.

This cozy sitting room doesn’t look like much yet, but this dramatic sconce will be paired with an amazing navy velvet sofa and the most stunning artwork.

This room is my client’s media room. My faux painter will be there this week starting up a specialty finish on this ceiling, and the upholsterer will be there after that to upholster the walls in a gorgeous suede to match. This room is bound to be dramatic (no pun intended)!

Who wouldn’t want to get dressed in this amazing closet? All of the structural details are complete which means we have the fun stuff left to do! We are picturing two rectangular benches in some over the top fabric to compliment the art they have for that back wall, and I can picture a flokati runner underneath for an extra touch of glam.

Here’s a peak into their master bathroom (more details in our previous post, Under Construction: Modern With Antiques Master Bathroom Update). This marble is one of my favorite things in this house, and the way that it wraps from wall to wall was no easy feat!

The master bedroom has an adorable loft which was another selling feature for this home. The gold stair railing that we installed in this space is pretty magnificent, but the teal shag carpet that will be going up these stairs is truly something else!

I think you can see now why I just couldn’t wait to share some of these amazing details with you! I am proud of all of the work we have done so far and am excited to see all of the dreams we have for this space coming to life. As I know that each detail will continue to be important, it may take a little time to get the finished spaces up on our blog with all of the right accessories, etc. so hopefully this will tide you over for now. Keep checking back in!
