For anyone who has been following us for a long time, they know that my family moved into a new home last year and completely renovated the inside of the house at that time. As is the case with most projects, we wanted to take some time before starting the next big scope of work, and have slowly been ticking away at the small projects and furniture to finish the inside while we waited. We finally decided it was time and hired a contractor to begin the process of renovating our front yard. Believe me when I say that it is quite the under taking!

Before

See what I mean? This front yard needs some serious TLC and was a bit overwhelming to us. If I am being honest! Our main goals are to create more parking, a cohesive look, and somewhere our kids can run around / ride bikes more freely.

Front Yard Inspiration

This is the overall look we are going for. Something clean yet earthy and that goes with the ranch style of our house but still relatively modern. Specifically, I love the wood fence, the bench with planter detail, and the large concrete slabs with either rocks or grass in between.

Front Yard Floor Plan

Here you can see the layout we are going for. We are still tweaking it slightly, but it should be laid out on the ground by the end of the week. I can’t tell you how excited I am!

In Process

Demolition has begun! I am excited to see how this project is taking shape. I have put a lot of thought into how I want the design to turn out in the last year and know it will be both functional and look amazing too!
