We are so excited to once again share our monthly inspiration with all of you! Each month, we look forward to getting the chance to sit down and really think about what’s inspiring us, make predictions for the month ahead, and reflect on the past month. As usual, we have each selected a photo that represents our overall inspiration and have paired it with two interior shots and two events that coordinate with its color scheme and overall concept. In addition, we have provided you with our designer tips to keep you on trend for the month ahead.

Tami’s inspired: Something crazy happened this week! My little girl started preschool … She’s all grown up (tear). As a first time mom dropping my daughter off for her first day, I just couldn’t help myself. I went leopard on leopard (It’s my fav!). This month, Joie is my inspiration. I know getting used to this routine can be tough, but she is super excited each morning to get up and see her new friends. The start of school in Covid times is not exactly what I imagined this to be, but I couldn’t be happier with the decision we made to send her!

What’s my designer tip this month? Be brave! What are some things you can do to take yourself out of your comfort zone without going too far (LOL … wouldn’t want to push you too much)? Go all white when it comes to wall color, bedding, and a cute day bed in your kid’s room. Add a little leopard print! A pillow or two will spice up your space without going too crazy! Have a back to school backyard celebration (just those in your inner circle), but do something special for the kids like this table setting and / or bringing in an ice cream cart. They deserve it!

Lauren’s inspired: I found this quote, and it pretty much sums up exactly how I’m feeling right now! With everything that we are all going through it’s easy to fall into a spiral of negative thoughts, but I am determined to look at every single win and to know that there is good that is coming from the change, the slower pace of life, learning to pivot, and switching up your routine. Hey, it doesn’t hurt either that people are home right now and thus wanting to work on their homes!

What’s my designer tip this month? Be positive! The design in all of these inspiration photos has something in common. They are all very cheerful. If you’re looking to update, make sure you find what makes you most happy and accentuate it! Use big bold patterns if you like them, bright colors if that’s your thing, and if monochrome makes you happy … Know you are in good company!
