We are so excited to once again share our monthly inspiration with all of you! Each month, we look forward to getting the chance to sit down and really think about what’s inspiring us, make predictions for the month ahead, and reflect on the past month. As usual, we have each selected a photo that represents our overall inspiration and have paired it with two interior shots and two events that coordinate with its color scheme and overall concept. In addition, we have provided you with our designer tips to keep you on trend for the month ahead.

Tami’s inspired: I am not going to lie, some days are harder than others. So I rely on finding those hidden gems … the things that are keeping me going and making sure to hold on to them tight. What are my go to’s while in quarantine? Snuggling my girls as much as they will let me, spending full days in pj’s (and then making sure to get dressed on other days to feel like a normal person), game nights with friends and family, making healthy meals but then having something sweet around for when I need it, our daily walks around the neighborhood, and binge watching Tiger King, what else?

What’s my designer tip this month? Don’t be a Joe Exotic or a Carole Baskin, but do incorporate animal prints into your life! This #inspo board is super casual because that’s how we all are these days. Instead of attending big family gatherings and parties, we may look forward to late night tea (or a real drink) with our spouse or getting just a little bit of extra rest in the morning. Fuzzy coasters could be fun, and so are tiger printed pillows always!

Lauren’s inspired: Wow! Who would have thought last month at this time that we would all be where we are today! I certainly did not and was looking forward to all of the planned parties and everything else we had scheduled. I’m not going to lie though, this forced time to slow down has actually been quite nice and maybe a little bit needed. I tend to be overly planned and always filling my days to the fullest, but I am using this time to slow down, catch up on work and house chores, and enjoy some much needed family time. Although every day tends to feel pretty much the same (almost like Groundhog’s Day), I do think it is important to try to find small things to do to make each day special.

What’s my designer tip this month? Celebrate Spring, but stay home! Whether it is just you and your spouse / roommate or you have kids at home, find a special way to celebrate the holidays this year. It doesn’t need to be extravagant, and small gestures will certainly go a long way. Set your table beautiful and remember those traditions. That’s what’s important right now.

Here at Side by Side Design, we look forward to keeping it real this month from our quarantine to yours … A little Spring cleaning, some Passover at-home beauty, some updates on our spaces that we are currently spending so much time in, and a lot of inspiration! Don’t forget to check out our next Get Inspired post on May 1st for all new looks and inspiration!
