It’s the end of the month, and we are extremely grateful for all of the design challenges and experiences that have come our way. Today (as yesterday was a very special day … our blog’s 8th birthday!), we continue to show you some of our favorites … 5 things that truly made us happy in the great big world of design. We have chosen to make this month’s post all about this past year and chose five favorites that really showcase the growth we have made and the creativity we have put forth. Enjoy!

#1: This event client! It was truly meant to be that this year we met this client! It is such a dream to work for someone who always chooses an amazing theme (I am such a sucker for a good theme! Check out all the details from her Rose Mom’s Day Lunch here.), allows us to let our creative juices flow, and is beyond awesome to work with. We know that this is just the start (as she has already hired us to put on her daughter’s amazing Bat Mitzvah party) of this relationship and can’t wait to see what else she has in store! #2: This magical move in! Two and a half years of hard work and many many details have lead up to this point, and when our Modern With Antiques clients finally moved in they said, “We can’t believe we get to live here!” I don’t think it gets better than that! It is an ultimate dream to hear this from a client I have worked with so closely for so long, and I couldn’t be more proud of the creativity that has gone into this project. (Written by: Lauren)

#3: This collaboration! Our focus for so much of this year has been on collaboration. We cannot get enough of working with fellow “mompreneurs” and other creatives and have really stepped up our game this year in this area. You may remember this photo taken from a special Valentine’s Day event we planned with bryck&mortar, Rachel Miriam, Molly Sims, and baby2baby. We couldn’t be more proud to showcase our event skills while giving back to a cause! We plan to continue growing in this area, reaching out to more companies and like-minded individuals about collaborating, and making things happen this next year! (Written by: Tami)

#4: This interior project! I am not a huge believer in luck as I believe that people really work hard to get what they have, but in this case I feel lucky that an amazing vendor and friend referred us for this project and that we are getting the opportunity to work with a client who bought the house that Kim and Kanye built in Bel Air. It is literally the most perfect blank canvas of a house I have ever laid eyes on, and I feel super lucky to get to be the one to complete it. These pieces of furniture that we purchased from Mass Furniture for the client’s bar lounge, and I will be showing tons of photos as the project progresses. (Written by: Lauren)

#5: This year of growth! Personal and professional growth is very important to us, but thanks to one remarkable individual it has taken on new life for us this year. As we discovered Lauren’s wedding Day of Coordinator has become owner of a multi million dollar company and motivational speaker / author, we have truly dug into all that she has to offer (podcasts, books, Start Today journals, etc.), and we know we are better for it! Rachel Hollis is our mentor (Whether she knows it or not!), and she has inspired us to reach for the stars, to know we were “made for more”, and above all to be an inspiration to others.
