There is a commercial on the Disney channel that Ava and I love that says, “For every girl who dreams big, there is a princess to show her it’s possible.” I won’t lie, Ava and I even know the song that goes with it. I came up with an idea to use this concept as a birthday party theme many months ago, and Ava surprisingly not only went along with it but stuck with it for the long haul. From there the concept has evolved, and I (as I tend to do) have collected and purchased items along the way to create the perfect birthday party for my favorite four year old.

I have created a sign each year for Ava’s birthday party and kept the tradition going this time around. It was the perfect thing to welcome our guests and showcase the party theme.

Ava waited so patiently for her friends to arrive and even helped Tami and I with the set up.

I absolutely love how the head table turned out. I waited and waited for these plates and goblets to go on sale and completely fell in love with these pink chairs when I saw them on Alex Party Rentals website. We made this setting fit for little princesses with an abundance of fabric, flowers, and a gold lace crown (from Etsy – CherylsBowtasticBows) for each girl.

We continued the theme with handmade tags on each crown and Ava’s various princess must-haves (tiara, crown, and wand) at her setting.

We set up an activity table to keep the girls busy with princess coloring pages and crayons, kings crowns for the boys in attendance, beads, and more.

A few more items for our princesses to take home; bracelets, lipgloss, and a handmade necklace.

A few snacks and a yummy lunch from California Pizza Kitchen kept our guests well-fed.

Sarah from Glitter and Pearl made this “Princess Ava” cake topper, and I love how delicate it is! I kept the cake simple with just a few roses on top so as not to distract from it.

The big surprise of the day was the arrival of Ava’s favorite princess, Belle. She and Enchanted Party Tales were amazing to work with. This Beauty came prepared with fun games and face paint to keep the kids entertained …

… and they were!

Cara and Sienna were party-ready with their Cinderella and Elsa shirts and tutus (of course) …

… and each girl came dressed to impress in their favorite princess party gown.

Ava is still talking about her special party guest!

A group shot was definitely necessary!

After Belle left, the girls had fun making their own beaded necklaces …

… and every perfect party ends with a cake!

I still can’t believe I have a four year old. Ava is getting bigger and more mature every day, and I love spending time with her! Thank you Ava for letting me plan your birthday party and for helping me every step of the way. I had way too much fun! I guess this was a success considering Ava told me today that next year she wants her birthday party to be the same. Dream big princess!
