This one’s a personal one you guys … My parents recently remodeled their kitchen, and I was excited to help. I wanted to give them a fresh new look. I remember when we moved into this house twenty years ago (Eek!). That just tells you that it was probably about time for a remodel and time to get rid of a whole bunch of stuff! Their old kitchen had a country flair to it, and they wanted to keep a little of that while modernizing it to go with the today’s fresh clean look.

The first thing that had to go was their super country style backsplash and old worn doors and drawer fronts. Not to mention those hideous recessed can lights in the ceiling!

We then removed all of the countertops … Who wants tile with grout anymore?

By replacing the sink cabinet, we were able to give them a nice, new farmhouse sink which I am pretty sure is my mom’s favorite part of her new kitchen.

A fresh coat of paint, a new island color …

… and new cabinet doors and drawers in a shaker style …

… All new stainless steel appliances …

… A gorgeous Vadara quartz countertop to tie the whole look together …

… and curated country accessories for personality with some of my mom’s favorites from her chicken collection!

Here’s the finished product! Congratulations Mom and Dad on making it happen! I love how it all turned out, and I love even more that I was able to help bring your dream kitchen to life!
